It is cool and dark when I get up for a morning walk. By the time I set off the sun is rising over the village
I enter the forest and I love the way the sun lights up the trees.
and how the rays colour the grass.
As I wind my way through the forest the light changes direction.
Nearly home the village is on the right.
The trees in the village gardens look like they have been sprinkled with diamonds as the sun shines on the rain droplets from the night before.
The people who enjoy playing in the workshed have made a series of beehives for our native bees. They are scattered throughout the village.
Some residents have made beautiful gardens around their units.
When I arrived home my daughter and son in law were waiting to say goodbye as they return to Sydney after a quick visit. Carol had come to Brisbane to attend a 30 year reunion of her high school graduation. David visited his parents in north Brisbane then they came to see us for one night. It's always lovely to have a visit from them.
You've almost inspired me to get up and go for a walk early. I will see different things to a forest.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful early morning photos that make me feel like going outside immediately - then I remember that it's lashing down with rain out there this morning. If the weather turns warm though I'll be out at daybreak.
ReplyDeleteLovely walk. I enjoyed tagging along.
ReplyDeleteI loved your sunrise shot in particular but the whole walk was great, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHello, cute photo of your daughter and her hubby. Your sunrise is beautiful, what a lovely walk. I like the bee hotel, a great idea. The flowers and plants are lovely. Wishing you a happy day and a great new week!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like a walk in the woods in the morning. I went to my usual woods (the only real woods on the Island) and had a medium walk and then had coffee as usual in The Woodlands Café.
ReplyDeleteI love Carol's boots.. start with the important things first. ha ha… beautiful sky and trees, love the flowers.. so glad you had a visit from them..
ReplyDeleteMagical place you get to walk in. The early morning sunlight coming through the trees is beautiful.

ReplyDeleteYou live in a beautiful area and such an idyllic walk. That early morning light is magic! Great to see your daughter and son-in-law. These visits are precious.
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention the bee hotel. I see them popping up all over the place. I am real happy to know people are taking care of our bees. These throughout the village are beautifully made.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely the best time of the day, the light is so beautiful. Gorgeous shots Diane 💛
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have a beautiful place for your morning walks, and I really like the light in your morning photos. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOver the years of working and riding in racing stables, I have been at work long before the sun rises and I never thought I would ever be able to sleep in late. Somehow the body has adapted to the change and these days it is very seldom I see sunrise!!! Great photos. Keep well t'other Diane
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful morning images, as I am NOT a morning person! How lovely to have your family visit :)
ReplyDeleteEven I would do this morning walk ! Beautiful ! and you certainly enjoyed your visitors !

How lovely for you to have the bushland so close by. You've captured special moments in the early morning. Love the bee homes folk have made and the gardens look wonderful, all in all, a great start to the day. Of course, seeing your dear ones waiting would have made it all the more special.
