I have been walking in the Daisy Hill Forest (Its real name is Daisy Hill Conservation Park) since about 1972 and I never get sick of doing that. I love looking for new things to photograph everyday.
One of the creeks. It is just a waterhole now because we haven't had much rain.
This is a Curlew protecting its chick from me. Look hard you can see two little legs coming down from the parent's wing.
Spooky spider
My walking buddies in the sun rays
Another waterhole sometimes called Billabongs.
Sometimes we do an afternoon walk. That is our village through the trees.
Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, especially those with the sunrays.
ReplyDeleteHello Diane!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures from your walk in the beautiful forest!
Great captures of the Curlew bird and the reflection in the waterholes!
Wishing you a lovely weekend!
Dimi...

ReplyDeleteYou've got a marvelous place to walk. Your photos are marvelous.
ReplyDeleteamazing photos, love that web photo. i showed these to bob and said, look this could be here. where you live is almost identical to us in Florida except for opposite seasons and we have no kangaroos
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful place so close by to walk in, Diane. The sun rays coming through and highlighting your companions was my favorite shot, but not so much that spider in its rather intricate web. I did see the feet of the young curlew too.
ReplyDeleteI was looking for a Jolly Swagman camped by the billabong. Didn't find him though! I love that orange fungus on the tree.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! How lovely being so close to that walk. I love the shot of the blue sky reflecting through the tree tops on to the billabong.
ReplyDeleteHello, what a pretty spot for your walk. I love the sun's rays and the cute Curlew! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI rather envy you that walk and the shade from the heat. I have a beautiful walk from my house but I am so often deterred by the need to get kitted out in wind and waterproofs in order to face it. It's exercise but not fun in that weather.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful series of photos.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely is that place to walk and so close as well. Very pretty Diane.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a beautiful place to walk, Diane. I'm sure it is ever changing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walking track Diane.. every image a gem, love the spider web 🎆
