NEW CAR

Because we don't travel any more our bank account has been growing. I decided That I would like a new car. Bill agreed so off we went to the local Hyundai Car Yard. I have been looking at a Kona for some time and wishing I had one.  It is higher off the ground being a small SUV, which makes it easier for Bill to get in an out. We had a test drive and told all the wonderful things it can do, which I promptly forgot. The day we could go and pick it up, I had a panic attack and thought,"What have I done? This is ridiculous at my age." Anyway when I drove it home it was beautifully easy to drive but it was bigger than our Mazda and I had trouble getting it into the garage. But after a few weeks I can do it okay. Still get nervous about parking next to posts and walls. I haven't learnt how to use all the bells and whistles yet.

Our first outing was to take a friend to the golf club for lunch. All went well.

Then back to the village with its spring flowering trees.

Then home to our pretty lavender.

  5. Enjoy your new car. It sounds like the right car for you. I have been thinking about buying a new car and my research shows for me a Toyota Corolla is a good choice. My car is a 2010. Just thinking about it. I wonder if I could learn to drive the new cars, they might be too smart for me!

  7. Are you keen golfing fans yourself? Or do you just take friends to the golf club for lunch and watch the other real golfers sweat?

  9. Oh what a pleasure to drive to nice places in an easy to drive car. I know what you mean about parking and stuff I always struggled with that and I still park a km down the road if I get a place to park comfortably as i can't to paralel parking haha

  10. All the best on your new car, Diane, and good for you on treating yourself because $ does no good if it’s not enjoyed. My car is a 2007 without bells and whistles, but Patrick’s car has all those features.
