GETTING USED TO THE NEW CAR

I decided that I need to drive the new car to get used to it instead of leaving it in the garage until shopping day. So we took it for a drive to Tamborine to the Bearded Dragon Hotel for lunch. It drives so smoothly and quiet. After about 45 mins we had arrived. I was a bit nervous about parking. There were so many cars in the car park but I found a space and squeezed in. All the cars must have been belonging to people having a conference in the special room because there were not many people in the restaurant. So we enjoyed a quiet lunch together.

Because I'm driving home, I only drank a Lemon, Lime and Bitters.

Waiting for Bangers and Mash.
After a quiet leisurely lunch, we set off to find the car. We have to remember to look for a white one and not our old red one.
There it is all sparkly new Hyundai Kona. I erased the number plate.

  1. How lovely a trip out for lunch with hubby and you driving your new car, do wish I was still driving, but I can no longer drive since breaking my arm.

  2. I don't know much about cars. But the restaurant, using a photo from the web, looks like my ideal architecture and gardens.

  3. You got a new car ? Congratulations, I am thinking that next year I will sell mine. It's 10 yrs old and I only drive here around in Waterloo. Brussels is so congested and you are allowed to drive only 30 km/h. The station is near the castle and leads me directly into the center. It becomes so expensive and I use it maybe 2 times per week, I have to go to the technical control now each year ! That costs me at least 250 € plus the insurance and the petrol. That pays a taxi easily. It looks very pretty where you had lunch !

  7. A nice place (and a spacious car) Nothing like having the restaurant to yourself to enjoy a quiet lunch.

  9. Lovely to have a new car but there is a bit of a learning curve, like everything I suppose. You picked a great place for lunch. It all looks very nice!

  10. Getting used to anything new takes time, Diane, which is one reason I still have an old car. Most importantly, it’s still running well. Glad your outing was a good one and with lunch as well.
