Let Us Out, Its Christmas!

I have been very lazy this Christmas and haven't bothered with decorations because we aren't having Christmas dinner here this year. The girls won't be home either but the other day when I walked past the linen cupboard where I keep the decorations I could hear a rumpus. Lots of little voices calling,
"Let us out, its Christmas!"
I opened the cupboard and saw the box containing my Christmas toys jumping about.
"Let us out, its Christmas!"
Oh dear even my toys are telling me I'm lazy this year. So I opened the lid.........

"About time!" they shouted. "Now get us out and put us under the tree."

So I did.

  3. We don't celebrate Christmas at home either, but I need Christmas decoration for myself, I do it for me not for anybody else, so that's why the house is decorated except we have a mini Christmas tree of maybe 50 cm or less high.
It's good you let them out. Christmas is a cosy time.

  4. Cheeky little things. Thanks for your explanation about the leaves/compost. What a wonderful idea your municipality has to mulch the extra leaves and sell all as compost.

  5. Hi Diane; I have not yet put up the Christmas tree and it is practically Christmas eve. Usually I can't wait to see and put up all the familiar decorations. I feel a little like in a limbo! Anyway at least I will have a look at the decorations! I am sure if you would not have let the Christmas teddies out they would have come out at midnight they just look a little mischievous.
I wish you and Bill a lovely Christmas and a very happy New Year. T.

  6. They look so much happier around the tree. I think they are singing Jingle Bells. Do they get up and blow the horn? Is that a Swiss horn?

  12. Oh dear we were both lazy this year ... I didn't put up my tree because we were going away ... but found some items calling from the cupboard too just to brighten the place a little.
