ROAMIN' 'ROUND REDCLIFFE

Last weekend we attended a photography workshop at Redcliffe. We had to meet under the clock at the pier at 7:30am. So we decided to go to Redcliffe the night before and stay over night to save getting up too early to drive there in the morning.
The old art deco bathing pavilion and entry to the pier.

Redcliffe is on the shores of Moreton Bay.

One can't visit Redcliffe without a stroll along the pier. The Whale Watching boat is moored there.

The swimming pool area is where we started our portrait tutorial.

The model provided was beautiful and so easy to work with.

We learnt lots but how much we remember is the problem.

  1. Redcliffe looks warm even at this time of year which appeals to me. My father taught me a lot about photography when I was a child but he was t a portrait photographer. On the basis that it's never too late you have given me an idea. Thank you. And, by the way, I like your portraits.

  2. Nice portraits, nice landscapes. The main thing about tutorials is that they force you to think about what you're doing, not that you remember all the technical details.

  6. I love that Art Deco pavilion. It reminds me of the one at the lake my parents used to take us to to swim when we were children. Your portraits turned out very well, as did all your photos of Redcliffe.

  11. That pier is quite a walk!
When you visit me here you will be able as you are
so fit to walk up "The SKILLION" and take photos
whilst Bill and I enjoy the hospitality of the
    pavilion at the sports club.
Don't worry we will cheer your climbing efforts on.
    Cheers

  17. Besides the fact that the place looks beautiful, what a nice experience to learn how to make portraits. I exercise myself with cat portraits, but that's not really the same, lol !

  22. Hi Diane, looks like you remembered what you learned! Love the different photos of the model. Are you permitted to ride on the beaches in Oz? I need to attend a portrait photo workshop. Lately, all my portraits are "noisy". If you have a chance, pop into my blog and see what the [crazy] people of this valley do for fun! Enjoy the rest of your day. Jo
