BIRTHDAY BEAR GOES DOWN MEMORY LANE

The Birthday Bear Group celebrated Mary's birthday at Ceylon Inn in Graceville. The restaurant doesn't do lunch on Friday so we braved the cool winter evening. We soon warmed up when we started eating our hot Indian curries. Bear also arrived in scarf and hat to keep warm.
Bear came with an album full of Birthday Bear memories. We have been celebrating our birthdays with Birthday Bear since 2007. Helen made the album for Bear to share with Mary on her birthday. It contained photos of all the different outfits Bear has worn over the years and all the different places where we have celebrated.
Mary was happy to receive Memory Bear and her album.

We all enjoyed looking at past photos and remembering all our times together.

We all enjoyed the hot Indian food too. The Shiraz wine went down well also.

I especially enjoyed the Mango Kulfi, Indian ice cream, to cool off my mouth.

  1. How lovely to record all of Birthday Bear's appearances and memories of all your get-togethers in that way! Well done :D)
The Indian feast looks so appealing and I looked up the recipe for Mango Kulfi. It's similar to what Mum used to make (without the mango) when we were youngsters... I can remember her turning her egg beaters for ages!

  13. The Album must be great ! It's really an excellent idea to celebrate birthdays with a bear dressed for the occasion ! It's funny, now you complain about the cold and we have a heat wave ! Over 30° ! Only in stores and in my car is aircondition, I could drive around the whole day !

  19. You all do have great memories --when it comes to all of the Birthday Bear celebrations... By the way, is it the SAME bear you have always used? If so, that bear has really gotten to enjoy all kinds of places/hats/memories.... NEAT!!!!!

I laughed at you talking about WINTER --when we are in the midst of Summer... Here in TN the past week, we finally got some needed rain --and the temperatures are milder (which we love)...

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  21. What better way to celebrate on a cold winter's evening than dining at an Indian restaurant - a lovely gesture by Helen in putting together "Bear's Birthday Adventures" I'm sure there were many laughs and fond memories.to be enjoyed.
