FINGER PAINT IS FOR FINGERS

When I was in LA with the grands we had a finger painting session.

I tried to get Fox to make patterns in the paint with his fingers. He was more interested in experimenting with the texture of the paint on his fingers. I said you are supposed to rub the paint on the paper and then make patterns in it. he said ,"No, its finger paint its for fingers!" He did enjoy mixing colours on the paper.

Little brother, Banjo, copies everything Fox does. Wet wipes are the best invention since sliced bread.

  3. I like that logic finger paint is for fingers not paper, I think most kids love the feel of the paint on their hands.

  4. I can remember as a kid loving to finger paint. I don't even remember if my kids did it or not. Cute photos.

  5. I agree about the wet wipes. Another thing that Alannah and I alternate with painting, is drawing with those thick, bright chalks on the driveway. It combines so well with hopscotch - which is PE and number rolled into one. We also draw witches and brooms and cats and make up stories as we go.

  19. Children have a certain sense of inarguable logic. I guess that's what spawned the phrase 'because I said so'!!!!

  21. I think finger paint is a pretty good invention as well, it's such a shame that it wasn't around when I was a kid. The logic of children is wonderful isn't it?
